Central Perk Coffeehouse Opens in Times Square for “Friends” Fans
More than two decades after “Friends” aired its final episode, the show remains a captivating force for audiences worldwide. Fans still quote iconic lines, collect themed merchandise, and cheer along whenever The Rembrandts’ “I’ll Be There for You” plays. The series’ holiday episodes, including “The One with the Holiday Armadillo” and “The One with Chandler in a Box,” remain particularly popular, often sparking laughter even after multiple viewings.
Now, fans visiting New York City have an opportunity to step beyond the screen and experience the iconic Central Perk for themselves.
Central Perk Comes to Times Square
Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences, in collaboration with Central Perk Coffee Co. and CenPer Holdings, LLC, is opening the first New York City location of the Central Perk Coffeehouse.
Following the success of the Boston café, this new location is set in the heart of Times Square at 20 Times Square, on the corner of 7th Avenue and 47th Street, and will officially open on December 5.
The design pays homage to the show’s famous café setting, including the signature orange couch, while incorporating contemporary New York City elements. Artwork by Burton Morris adds a modern artistic touch to the environment, creating a familiar yet refreshed experience for visitors.
A Full Coffeehouse Experience

Instagram | vacations | Guests can enjoy a full menu of Friends-inspired items at the operational Central Perk café.
Unlike museum-style attractions such as the Warner Bros. studio tour or The Friends Experience, this Central Perk Coffeehouse functions as a fully operational café. Guests can enjoy a wide range of drinks and food, with many items inspired by the series:
Chandler’s Chocolate Cold Foam Latte
Blended Princess Consuela’s Banana Mocha
Oh.My.Gawd! Coldbrew
Joey’s Meatball Sandwich
Rachel’s Green “Side” Salad
Weekend at Caesars Salad
Mama’s Little Bakery Cheesecake
The New York location will also feature three exclusive items:
1. The One with NYC Matcha – an oat milk matcha latte with strawberry purée and cream cheese cold foam, designed to mimic the flavor of strawberry-matcha cheesecake.
2. NY Relaxi Taxi Tall Iced Cooler – a refreshing mix of lemonade, iced green tea, lavender syrup, sparkling water, and a lemon wheel.
3. The Tribbiani Sandwich – a tribute to Joey’s legendary love for food. This sub includes freshly sliced prosciutto, soppressata, capicola, cotta, coppa, provolone, lettuce, giardiniera, olive oil, and vinegar, all served on semolina hero bread. Created by Top Chef and James Beard Award-winning chef Tom Colicchio, it perfectly reflects why Joey famously doesn’t share food.
A Hub for “Friends” Fans

Beyond the menu, the New York Central Perk offers numerous opportunities for photo moments and nods to the show’s memorable scenes.
